Will HHH Return For One Last Match

We may have seen the first big sign of HHH returning to in ring competition to feud with Cody Rhodes in a Summer blockbuster. It was no accident that RAW closed with a HHH segment speaking with Cody Rhodes. The WWE has made it clear we haven’t seen the last of Cody Rhodes vs Roman Reigns, they simply needed to put it on hold until the timing is perfect for it to happen again. Most pundits believe it will be at SummerSlam after Cody wins MITB in London and challenges the Tribal Chief.

So, how do they buy enough time to get him there? We’ve seen the Brock Lesnar angle play out, and for all intended purposes, should wrap up this weekend. Rumor has it, after his match with Brock Lesnar, the next big feud he would have would be with HHH coming back for one last match. This would more than likely lead to HHH attacking him after his match with Lesnar and setting up a match between the two. The premise being that only HHH can make the rules in WWE and he is tougher than Cody. It may seem like a long shot, but the story is there when you consider the entire Rhodes leaving for AEW angle and the numerous storylines they can mix in.

Time will tell, but one thing is for sure, it would be a one time match for HHH, and most likely a street fight that consists of mainly brawling, so not too much stress is put on HHH’s heart. This would accomplish two things, a proper sendoff for HHH and one more huge name to put Rhodes over and keep him at top as he gets ready for a rematch with Roman Reigns later this summer.
