Not all Royal Rumble winners went on to have a great WrestleMania. In fact, less than half of them have walked out of the show of shows with championship gold around their waist. Let’s break it down by the numbers, shall we?
Remembering that there were two winners in 1994 ( Lex Luger & Bret Hart), there have been 36 total winners. Out of those 36 winners, only 17 have gone on to win the World Title at WrestleMania.
The other 19 lost their title match, or lost their championship all together ( Hogan, Flair & HHH) 4 guys, Stud, Duggan, McMahon and Austin, didn’t even get to compete for a title after winning the Royal Rumble.
