Big Lots recently announced that after saving themselves from BK, they have made plans to re-open several stores around the United States on April 10th. This has sparked serious hope that the North Olmsted location will be one of those locations.
The Big Lots company website states that nine stores will reopen on April 10, with all of the stores located in the South. This is where Big Lots will open its doors:
- Clarksville, Tennessee
- Dickson, Tennessee
- Gallatin, Tennessee
- Mount Sterling, Kentucky
- Metairie, Louisiana
- Pearl, Mississippi
- Tupelo, Mississippi
- Asheboro, North Carolina
- Roanoke, Virginia
Now, while the North Olmsted is not on this first list, they do have a serious chance on being on a future list as the financial advisors went on to say that since The Variety Wholesalers purchased 200 Big Lots locations have mentioned the Northeast as being their next target to re-open stores, so this is just the first wave of reopening planned from April through early June. Variety Wholesalers mostly snapped up Southeastern locations and intends to keep operating stores under the Big Lots name. The North Carolina-based company also owns Roses Discount Stores.
