Who Eventually Defeats These Dominant Heel Champions?

AEW

AEW TV Champion Miro

Rusev Day has re-found his beast self in AEW and it has been fun to watch!  With them having another two hours to fill starting this Friday Night, I expect regular title defense for him to begin.  That being said there is no shortage of monsters who can challenge him in AEW.

He has already dispatched of The Murderhawk Lance Archer, but I see him struggling eventually if he starts taking out every monster AEW offers.  Eventually a show down with Brian Cage or even Wardlow will loom. Or, does AEW go the other way and grant Darby Allin a rematch?

Who eventually takes the title off of him?  These are all so tough to figure out because each champion is so damn dominant. I think he holds it for awhile until either Jack Swaggar shows back up, or Wardlow turns face and takes him down.

AEW World Champion Kenny Omega

A champion since December when he shockingly turned heel and joined up with Impacts Don Callis, Omega has been on the roll of a lifetime. He defeated Jon Moxley, Jungle Jack Perry, Orange Cassidy, Pac, Hangman Adam Page and several of the top stars of AEW and Impact along the way.

Anyone who truly thinks Frankie Kazarian will be the man to beat him, is clueless.  AEW has done most things amazingly well, but the whole, “Elite Hunter” gimmick is a horrendous idea flawed with terrible logic that just doesn’t work.  They need to end that whole gimmick quickly.

Who takes the title off of him? To me, I think this one may be easier than we all think despite his dominance.  My educated guess is that he defeats Christian at All Out in September, and then sets up the dream rematch down the road with Hangman Page who does in fact, defeat him for the belt.

AEW Tag Champions The Young Bucks

Out of the three main heel champions in AEW, people actually forget that The Young Bucks have been champions the longest after defeating FTR back at Full Gear in November 2020. Their 10-month reign has seen them turn back several talented challengers, but has been most notable for their high profile switch from Face to Heel shorty after it started.

Who eventually beats them?  It is hard to believe a team like Santana and Ortiz who have been with AEW since day one, have not yet held the gold.  It seems like that may be the most reasonable choice once their feud with FTR ends.  I assure you, in the meantime, The Young Bucks will not be losing to Jurassic Express.
