When LeBron James Came Home

Legendary Sports Radio Host Kenny Roda gives his impression on why LeBron James chose to return to Cleveland and once again play for the Cavaliers, “The planets aligned as there are a number of reasons why LeBron James came back to Cleveland. First and foremost if the Cavaliers didn’t have a strong roster there was no chance he would come back.

So he looked at the roster and realized that the Cavaliers roster as it is currently constructed with Kyrie Irving, Dion Waiters, Andrew Wiggins, that was the first and most important reason he comes back home. His coming home was a huge factor, but he doesn’t come home if the Cavaliers suck and the roster has the potential to be very good with him in the middle of it. I think he looked at Miami’s aging roster with its lack of depth and looked at the Cavaliers young roster before anything else and said this is the place that gives me the best chance to win.

If not in the first season, then in the next several after that as he tries to extend his career and win multiple championships. The second factor was about coming home and coming back to Cleveland slash Akron with redemption and unfinished business on his mind to help build his legacy. So the perfect storm is the roster combined with redemption and being able to come home. Plus it doesn’t hurt that he can get a max contract eventually and become the highest paid player in his team. It was the planets aligning, the perfect storm and everything just pointed to him coming back.”

The essay from James was pure class and brought a tear to the eye of every person from Northeast Ohio who read it. It was real, it was honest, it was humble and it was exactly what he needed to say to get full forgiveness and redemption. Cleveland was ready to forgive and the approach James took made it ten times easier. The Chosen One had come home!
