Westlake Varsity Demons ran off with the lead late in the game in a 7-6 victory over Buckeye Bucks Varsity on Thursday. The game was tied at five with Westlake Varsity Demons batting in the bottom of the fifth when Hugh Sullivan grounded out, scoring one run.
There was plenty of action on the basepaths as Westlake Varsity Demons collected eight hits and Buckeye Bucks Varsity had ten. Buckeye Bucks Varsity got things moving in the first inning, when an error scored one run for Buckeye Bucks Varsity.
Westlake Varsity Demons tallied three runs in the fourth inning. Westlake Varsity Demons scored its runs on a home run by Matthew Randar.
