A week after taking down #1 St. Edward, the Tigers took down another #1 squad, this time the Middletown Cavaliers from Delaware 41-7 at Paul Brown Tiger Stadium. With starting QB DaOne Owens sitting out awaiting an eligibility ruling from the OHSAA, Jalen Slaughter stepped in and went 15-29 for 293 yards and three touchdowns. Massillon’s defense recorded five sacks in the contest, including two from star LB Dorian Pringle. The Tigers will take on their third top-ranked team in as many weeks when they host St. John’s (DC) (3-1), the biggest game in the country this week according to MaxPreps.
