The Hilltoppers come into the week ranked #2 in the Division III AP poll. Following their bye week, Chardon welcomes in the #1 ranked team in Division III Bishop Watterson (4-0).
Cleveland Villa Angela-St. Joseph Vikings (4-0, Last Week: 53-35 @ Kenston)
The Vikings are off to a hot start and find themselves ranked #7 in the Division III AP poll following their 53-35 win over the Bombers. VASJ took their first lead of the contest on the opening kickoff of the second half, an 88-yard return from Christian Chase. The Vikings will be back in action Friday night when they take on Cleveland Central Catholic (2-2).
Wadsworth Grizzlies (4-0, Last Week: 55-10 @ Twinsburg)
Back in Division II for the 2024 season, Wadsworth finds itself in the #6 spot in the Region 6 rankings, according to Joe Eitel, following their 55-10 win over Twinsburg. Freshman quarterback Brysen Hall continues to shine, becoming the first freshman in Medina County history to throw for five touchdowns in a game. The Grizzlies hit the road this week to take on Suburban League foe Brecksville-Broadview Heights (0-4).
Walsh Jesuit Warriors (4-0, Last Week: 42-7 vs. St. Ignatius)
The Warriors come into the week ranked #3 in the Division II AP poll after their 42-7 victory over the Wildcats. After being tied 7-7 after the first quarter, Walsh scored 21 unanswered in the second and got a second half running clock to take down Ignatius for the first time since 1982. The Warriors will be at home again this week when they welcome in Firestone (1-3).
