The Eagles jumped out to a 21-0 halftime lead and held on for dear life as a Hail Mary attempt from the Crusaders was broken up in the end zone as time expired, giving St. Edward the 28-21 win. Sophomore RB Brandon White turned in another impressive performance on the ground with 262 yards and two touchdowns on 32 carries. Senior DB Xavier Styles came away with two interceptions and a big pass breakup on the game’s final play. This week, St. Edward travels to Akron to take on the Hoban Knights (8-0) in the top game in the country, according to MaxPreps.
