There is currently a water main break at the corner of Clague Rd and Maple Ridge. Normally, this wouldn’t be a big deal at all, however there is construction on Clague Rd right now shutting down traffic heading North, exactly at Maple Ridge. The reason this is now an issue, is the majority of the people who are using Clague, down to Maple and taking that detour up to Walter, to get further North eventually. With that now on the verge of being closed off, you will have to find a completely different option and take Walter from Lorain and not even bother with Clague. So to recap, the 5 minute detour just became about a 15-minute detour until this is fixed.
Per the North Olmsted Police Department Facebook Page, they put out this post a little bit ago with an update.
On this crisp Sunday morning we thought we’d bring you the soothing sounds of a waterfall. There’s really nothing more relaxing than the sounds of a waterfall.
Unless it’s a water main break. Which this is. Sigh……..
Anyway, it’s on Maple Ridge just off Clague Road. We know about it and the water department has been contacted. Unfortunately they’re giving us an ETA of 2pm before they can start repairing it. They’re going to try and slow the flow until then. Once they get to fixing it, water will be shut off on Maple Ridge between Maple School and Clague so if you need to take a shower, now is the time.
Luckily it’s a Sunday and traffic is as slow as it gets but use caution coming through the area. Hopefully they won’t have to close the entire road to fix it since it’s the detour for Clague Road. If that happens we’ll let you know.
