In all, five homers were hit today. The first was a grand slam off the bat of Nick Bollinger to put Hawken up 4-0 in the first inning.

However, Walsh Jesuit would respond in kind.

Junior infielder and Cincinnati commit Joey Canzone hit a home to right field to put the Warriors on the scoreboard.

Walsh Jesuit put up an eight-run frame in the bottom of the third inning.

The Warriors loaded the bases, and got a run across thanks to a walk by Kasey Kish. That set the stage for Alejandro Covas.

The junior hit a grand slam to left-center field to give the Warriors the lead, 8-5. They would add three more runs to make the score, 11-5 after three.

Hawken would add a run in the top of the fourth thanks to a double-play fielder’s choice.

In the bottom of the fifth, junior Justin Bremner hit a lead-off home run to increase the lead to 12-6.

Four more RBI hits would make the score 16-6 and end the game after five innings.
