Walker Named to D3baseball All-Region 7 Team

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – Baldwin Wallace University sophomore All-Ohio Athletic Conference right-handed pitcher Tyler Walker (Fairlawn/Copley) has been named to the D3baseball.com All-Region 7 Team.

Walker, the 2024 Kent Tekulve OAC Pitcher of the Year, earned a spot on the All-Region 7 second team and was the only Yellow Jacket from this year’s squad to receive the honor.

This season, Walker made 15 appearances and 12 starts where he pitched 70.2 innings including his first career complete game against Capital earlier this season. He led the OAC with a 9-1 record and also recorded two saves. Walker allowed 29 runs on 64 hits and 19 walks all while striking out 57 batters. He recorded an earned run average of 3.31 and limited opponents to a .238 batting average. Walker was also named to the ABCA/Rawlings All-Region 7 second team.

In his career, Walker has made 26 appearances and 16 starts and has a career record of 10-2 with three saves. He has struck out 79 batters through 97.2 innings where he has allowed only 49 runs on 90 hits and 33 walks. Walker has a lifetime ERA of 4.05 and has held opponents to a .239 batting average in his career.

The Yellow Jackets finished the 2024 campaign with a record of 36-10 and a 15-3 record in conference play where they claimed both the OAC Regular Season and OAC Tournament titles. BW earned its way into the NCAA Tournament for the 11th time in program history and for the third consecutive year.
