UFC 241 Recap and Reaction

Diaz proves “ring rust” is a myth

Anyone who thought 3 years off would slow Diaz down, was sorely wrong as he showed tonight with a dominant win over Anthony Pettis.  Diaz overcame a slow start to look brilliant for the final 12 minutes of this fight.

The hometown crowd loved Diaz, and now a fight with Jorge Masvidal looks like it will be on the horizon.  Diaz, despite a run of the mill record, continues to prove he is worth big-time paydays.

For Pettis, he really needs to consider switching camps or distancing himself from Duke Rufus.  The overrated trainer / coach continues to have his fighters unprepared for fights, and never allows them to evolve.  Rufus fighters, time and time again are predictable and exposed.  Rufus needs to go if Pettis wants to get his career turned around.
