UFC 239 Recap & Reaction

Jorge Masvidal knocks out Ben Askren in 5 seconds.

Askren came to the UFC with a lot of hype, but after two fights has a lot of people questioning him already. Tonight, was almost scary as he lunged forward into a flying knee. It will be very interesting to see how he can rebound from this.

It was easily one of the scariest knockouts in UFC history as Masvidal has been doing some of the best work of his career as of late. It is almost hard to fathom, but at 34-13 he is just now peaking.

With 47 fights, his career should be winding down, not heating up. That is 47 fights and he didn’t fight once in 2018.

Masvidal is just knocking out everyone in his way right now. The welterweight division should be on high alert as of all of sudden, they have a new threat to deal with.

I do love wrestlers, and I believe Askren is one of the best in the game, but tonight may have set him back several years.
