Masivdal is an MMA veteran, this will already be his 16th fight in the UFC and his 47th fight overall. Crazy to think that he is only 34 with that kind of tread on the tires. He wins some, he loses some but almost always puts on a great show.
The same can be said for his opponent Ben Askren, the only difference is, he just keeps winning! Askren is 19-0-1 and remains one of the best fighters in the world. He was the subject of the highly controversial trade that sent Demetrius Johnson to ONE Fighting, and brought him over to the UFC.
Askren survived a big time scare in his first UFC fight against Robbie Lawler, many thought he lost twice in that fight, including being knocked out. Herb Dean blew the call, and Askren had a wild rally to win. I don’t think this one will get that close by a long shot.
Prediction – Askren will walk right through him.
