TNA Rebellion 2024 Results & Reaction

ABC (Ace Austin & Chris Bey) & Leon Slater def. The Rascalz (Trey Miguel, Zachary Wentz & Myron Reed)

Reaction – This match would once be higher up on the card, but with the big names showing up as of late in TNA, a great scrum such as this sees the preshow slot.  Evern with that said, the four men still delivered!

Laredo Kid def. Digital Media Champion Crazzy Steve – NEW Digital Media Champion

Reaction – Remember when AEW made a big deal for Laredo Kid as Sammys best friend who received a contract, and then did nothing at with him?

Knockouts World Tag Team Champions Spitfire (Dani Luna & Jody Threat) w/ Lars Frederiksen def. Decay (Rosemary & Havok) – Knockouts World Tag Team Championship

Reaction – Rosemary and Havok need to return to the Indy circuit and call it a day. Up next for the champs is a date with Masha Slamovich and Alisha Edwards.

X-Division Champion Mustafa Ali def. Jake Something – X-Division Championship

Reaction – TNA continues to push the WWE castoffs over their TNA Originals.

Rich Swann w/ AJ Francis def. Joe Hendry

Reaction – Hey remember Rich Swann, the guy who was relevant in WWE for 5 minutes and Top Dolla from that cool collectibles show, oh yeah, they’re in TNA.  Heck, Swan was even their World Champion at one point;  The wrong guy won here!

Frankie Kazrain def. Eric Young – Full Metal Mayhem

Reaction – Great to see two TNA Originals put on a classic here!  I would have loved to see what either guy could do in WWE under the HHH regime, but I’m pretty sure that door is closed for good.

Mike Santana returns to TNA and defeats Steve Maclin

Reaction – He is back to where he had his greatest success.  Genuinely excited to have him home. A small part of me hopes he and Ortiz can work out their differences, and reform LAX in this version of TNA.

Sami Callahan returns

Reaction – And the crowd goes MILD

TNA World Tag Team Champions The System (Eddie Edwards & Brian Myers) w/ Alisha Edwards def. Speedball Mountain (Mike Bailey & Trent Seven) – TNA World Tag Team Championship

Reaction – OUTSTANDING MATCH.  Edwards and Myers doing amazing things as heels right now.  This angle is working to perfection.

Josh Alexander def. Hammerstone – Last Man Standing

Reaction – My goodness was this great!  Josh Alexander needs to be in WWE the day after his contract runs out. He is that damn good!

Knockouts World Champion Jordynne Grace def. Steph De Lander w/ The Good Hands (John Skyler & Jason Hotch) – Knockouts World Championship

Reaction – I sense a Grace vs Tessa Blanchard match is coming

TNA World Champion Moose w/ The System (Eddie Edwards, Brian Myers & Alisha Edwards) def. Nic Nemeth – TNA World Championship

Reaction – The build to create Moose as an unbeatable champion knocking off every top name in the company remains in full swing.  Matt Hardy appeared as Broken Matt Hardy after them match and cleaned house.  I have to wonder if it’s a full blown switch from Nemeth to Hardy, or if “Dolph” sticks around the main event picture a bit longer.

All in all, an excellent show and TNA continues to head in the right direction and may even surpass AEW as the second biggest promotion in the world right now.
