WWE Hidden Gems: WWF Superstars 10/31/92

If you’re looking for a hidden gem on the WWE Network currently featured on Peacock, swing over to WWF Superstars.  Click on the October 3, 1992 edition from Saskatoon and enjoy!

This was taped on the same night Bret Hart defeated Ric Flair for the WWF World Championship and while that match isn’t on the show, this episode is an absolute banger!

The episode starts off with an extremely rare simulcast of WWF Superstars with WWF Challenge.  As you may recall, Superstars were on Saturday Mornings and Challenge was broadcasted on Sundays, so this was something truly different.

The Episode begins with the shocking betrayal of Jimmy Hart on The Nasty Boys as they were supposed to challenge the WWF Tag Team Champion The Natural Disasters.  He double crossed them and gave the shot to his other team Money Inc.  What makes this remarkable is he did this exact same thing to The Natural Disasters when they were supposed to challenge the Legion of Doom for the Titles back in March.

Yet again, Money Inc wins the title’s with the surprise title shot and Jimmy Hart burns a bridge with another team, effectively turning the Nasty Boys face as he did with the Natural Disasters.

Later in the same episode, Marty Jannetty returns to attack Shawn Michaels before his match against some random jobber. Jannetty goes to hit HBK with the Mirror he was posing in, but accidentally smashed his manager Sensational Sherri with it. This leads to another face turn from Sherri as she eventually sides with Marty and leaves Shawn Michaels.

So, to recap in a crazy episode.

Jimmy Hart turns against The Nasty Boys which allows Money Inc to defeat The Natural Disasters for the WWF Tag Team Champions.  While later on, the former Rockers explode once again with one of the most memorable moments in the glory days of the WWF lore.
