The long day for Solon continued and nothing seemed to go right yet again for the young team as the Olmsted Falls Bulldogs buried 7 goals past them in a convincing 7-3 victory.

The loss dropped the Comets to 1-2 on the tournament while the Bulldogs captured their first win of the tournament to improve to 1-2.  Depending on how it shakes out, they may see each other again on Sunday.

Brady Fitzpatrick got the scoring going for the Bulldogs at the 7:33 mark of the first period.  It would be tightly contested the rest of the period and end by that same score.

After the Comets tied it early into the second, the Bulldogs began to roll.  It was Colin Synder giving them the lead back at 2-1.  The Bulldogs would then go on the power play and cash in with a Zach Henley net burner to extend the lead to 3-2.  The Comets would go on to cut it to 3-2 as the second  period ended.

Up one and the game very much in doubt, the Bulldogs went back to work in the third with great intensity in sight of their first tournament win of the weekend.  They wasted no time with goals by Zach Henley and Colin Wilson to extend the lead to 5-2 and pretty much end all doubt.

The Comets had a chance to cut into the lead as they went on the powerplay.  However, as they did last night against Rocky River, the Bulldogs did some of their best work shorthanded and scored while down a player.  This time it was Cole Sigan finding the back of the net.

Down 6-2 and the game winding down, the Comets managed to sneak one past the goalie, and cut the lead to 6-3.  It was far too little too late.  Noah Voeller would score one more for the Bulldogs just underneath the five minute mark to end the scoring at 7-3 in favor of Olmsted Falls.
