The USFL Makes Major Rule Change

Due to longer games then they may have expected, because of slow moving offense and several incomplete passes, the USFL has decided to make a drastic rules change.

The clock will keep running after an incomplete pass in the first and third quarters. This change is effectively immediately for the upcoming Week 4 matchups.  The hope being that games will stop going over the 3 hour mark.

Through 3 weeks, we’ve seen some good games, but also a few that had little to no offense.  Perhaps this rule change will kick things up a bit.  Time will tell.  Overall, I’m still really enjoying the league.
