The Top Quarterbacks In Cleveland Browns History

6 Tim Couch

There are so many ways we can take this, but one thing is for sure, until Baker Mayfield, Couch was the most debatable QB in the modern-day Browns history.  Some loved him, some hated him, and he always seemed to be on the fan radar for one reason or other.

In five seasons as a Cleveland Brown, he beat Pittsburgh 3 times in only 5 tries.  The other five games against Pittsburgh he was hurt or benched.  He never had a decent line, or quality running back behind him and will go down in Browns history as one giant “what if”.

He finished his career with the Browns with 64 touchdowns and 67 interceptions.  He took such a beating however that many felt he never had a proper chance.  In 1999 he played in 15 games and got sacked a sickening 56 times.

In 2001, his only full season as a pro, he got sacked 51 times.  In 59 career starts he got sacked 166 times.  The kid never had a chance.

  1. You gave me so much happiness from the Dog pound! I sold liquor in the Akron market. I will never forget the time we had at Acme when you Broke Bernie Beer. I have no doubt with all the prayers we fans will send, that you will be fine. Take care my friend!
