When I created Kee On Sports in 2018, my biggest goal was to create a company that covered as many schools as possible. At the same time, NEVER charging the parents or student body to read about their student athletes. I figured if I got a small business in each city there was a school to sponsor the website, it would never be a problem. For 39 cities, that exact concept has worked perfectly and we’ve been able to afford to keep the coverage free of charge. Sadly, Rocky River has not been one of those 39 cities.
In the six years of coverage, Rocky River has been one of our staple schools as we have covered every single football game since 2018, and a host of basketball and lacrosse games as well. Each time, at no cost so everyone could enjoy it.
Sadly, in the six years we have covered River High School athletics, we have received zero sponsorship support from local Rocky River companies. That being said, for six years Kee On Sports has spent thousands of dollars to cover River athletics with written content, photos and even live broadcasts of games with zero financial support to do so from Rocky River commerce.
We truly don’t want to charge anyone, we hate the thought of that, but at this point, we have no choice if we do not start getting Rocky River companies in the door to help pay for that coverage with advertising dollars.
Again, we want to keep it free! We don’t want that to end, and we don’t want to charge a single parent, alumni, classmate or ANYONE behind a ridiculous paywall like other sites and newsprints do. We want to keep it free for you. We cannot however without an Rocky River business helping out.
Or, if we get enough donations in the name of River athletic coverage that would match the cost of a sponsorship. Thus, there is still time to avoid this drastic measure from taking place. If you would like to help our coverage of River athletics avoid being placed behind a paywall, you can donate at the below link.
Thank you and enjoy the list starting on page two.
You gave me so much happiness from the Dog pound! I sold liquor in the Akron market. I will never forget the time we had at Acme when you Broke Bernie Beer. I have no doubt with all the prayers we fans will send, that you will be fine. Take care my friend!
