- Bernie Kosar
There is no Cleveland Browns fan on Earth who hasn’t heard of Bernie Kosar. Despite never reaching a Super Bowl and having a very awkward delivery, Kosar rose to Superstar status amongst Browns fans. He was the hometown boy done good, and the fans have never forgotten! The day he was cut by Belichick and the Browns in 1993, was a dark day that fans treated as though was a family death.
His time in Cleveland was truly legendary with memorable playoff wins over the Jets, Colts, and Bills. Sadly, because of a man named John Elway, he stopped the Browns from going to the Super Bowl three times in four years.
On the surface, Kosar’s numbers, were, “ok”, but not fantastic by any stretch. He would finish his career as a Cleveland Brown with a 53-21-1 record, 116 touchdown passes and 21,904 yards in Cleveland. He will also be remembered as the guy who had no offensive line which led to him getting sacked 259 times and often injured later into this time with the Browns.
It has to be Otto Graham.
