Alundra Blaze shows up on WCW Nitro and trashes the WWF Women’s Title

The next 6 moments took place during the Monday Night Wars era, which tells you the high stakes both companies were playing with in an effort for ratings. This was the first major shot fired in the war.

After Lex Luger showed up on their initial broadcast, we knew anything could happen, but no one expected this. Blaze was the WWF’s Women’s champion at the time, but was no longer under contract with the WWF and was working under a pay per appearance agreement.

Major mistake, you would have thought the WWF learned their lesson with Luger, but they didn’t. Not only did she show up on WCW television, but with the WWF Women’s Championship belt, which she promptly threw in the trash can.  Great for WCW, but bad for Bret Hart. We’ll get to that, we’ll get to that soon, I promise, relax….
