Chris Benoit murders his family and then commits suicide
Some of these have been a lot of fun to write, most of them have not been. This is one of the toughest ones of all to recap.
Chris Benoit is one of the greatest professional wrestlers of all time and deserving of first ballot Hall of fame status. That will never happen as his legacy is now the darkest in sports entertainment history.
People have tried to justify what he did and make excuses for him because of brain damage and many other factors.
The bottom line is this, the man killed his wife and young son. There is no justification I’m willing to listen to for these actions. A horrible man who will rot in hell. It is that simple.
He committed these crimes in June of 2007, and it rocked the professional wrestling world. The only good thing to come out of it was that the WWE started testing for concussions and steroids right after this.
