The Most Forgotten WrestleMania Main Events of All Time

Every now and then you get an “undercard” match at WrestleMania, that is so good, years later no one even remembers the main event, let alone mentions it in any best of lists.  I don’t know if there is a better example of this then WrestleMania 25 with the greatest WrestleMania match of all time with The Undertaker vs Shawn Michaels.  Fans have to think long and hard before they remember the main event of the evening was HHH defending his WWE Championship against Randy Orton.  Those are the types of examples that will be on this list.

Sometimes you get WrestleMania’s like WrestleMania III, where, even though the Ricky the Dragon Steamboat vs Macho Man Randy Savage match was an instant classic talked about 30 years later, people still remember and revisit the main event of Hulk Hogan vs Andre The Giant.  This is also the case with WrestleMania’s X7 and XIX as well, with incredible matches all card long, and even though several were incredible, everyone still remembers the main event that night.  Examples like that, will not be on this list.

Again, I just want to make it clear, this is NOT a list of WrestleMania’s where we list the years an undercard match was better than the Main Event.  If that was the case, I could easily list about 35 of the 38 thus far.  This is strictly a list in which the undercard had a match so good, and the main event was so bad, that people often think the undercard match was actually the main event.

Let’s get started on page two.
