The Monday Night Raw After WrestleMania’s Greatest Moments

2012 Brock Lesnar returns the night after WrestleMania 28

The match of the century was now in the books, and everyone wondered just how John Cena would rebound from such a devastating loss.  The next night on Monday Night Raw he called out The Rock to close the show in an effort to mend the fence, shake his hand and move on.  Instead, with The Rock already well departed for Hollywood after thanking the crowd to open the show, Brock Lesnar showed up on WWE soil for the first time in 8 years, and decimated John Cena as the show went off the air with everyone in stunned fashion.

Few, if any fans ever expected Brock Lesnar to return to pro wrestling let alone WWE, but here he was and now the WWE had a multi-time UFC World Heavyweight Champion on their roster.  They did the smart thing by picking John Cena as his first foe who was in need of a big back bounce back feud after taking the loss to The Rock at WrestleMania 28.  With one kick to the stomach and F5, they were off and running.
