The Love For The Browns Goes Beyond Just A Number

When I attended the Orange & Brown practice at First Energy Stadium last Sunday, it got me to thinking… When I first attended a Cleveland Browns practice many years ago & watching the team you got to know who the players were and could rattle off their jersey numbers as well.

It started with Brian Sipe & the Kardiac Kids era, then with Bernie & the boys & now I have that same feeling with Baker & this team. It had been so hard to do that since they came back in ‘99 because well, as we all know, so many players came & left as it was difficult to associate players with numbers.

I was able to look at the field and even without seeing their names, I knew who the players were and as a fan, this is an excellent feeling. I am so looking forward to when the season starts in a few weeks & will be able to do that once again. As the words of the late, great Michael Stanley would say: “Here We Go Again
