The Last Ride Episode Two Earns Five Stars For These Reasons

Episode two of Undertakers Last Ride was incredible. 10 times better than the disappointing first episode now that we all know what this is about.  It is not about his entire career, but rather a behind the scenes look at the actual human being who created the career.

It was emotional several times and pulled back the curtain just enough to be more than enjoyable and in depth.  Here is what stuck out the most to us and kept is locked in and enjoying every second.

Taker has given so much of his body throughout the years.  Surgery after surgery, broken bones of every kind and just the ultimate sacrifice for 30 years. He knew WrestleMania 33 couldn’t be his last match after a subpar match with Roman Reigns, and began to work towards getting better. That says a lot about a man.  He didn’t want to become a parody.

People may get on Roman Reigns at times, but they shouldn’t. He was just honored to be in that match and never held a grudge against The Undertaker for his performance. That says a lot about Reigns and shows that he truly gets it and respects the business that built his family.

This episode also did an amazing job showing the relationship between himself and Vince McMahon.  They truly would take a bullet for each other and became emotional talking about it as well.  The best part of that scene was seeing all the old photos.  What old school wrestling fan wouldn’t have loved that. Their relationship was built on loyalty and those are the best kind.

Even though The Undertaker wanted to face AJ in his return match, the perfect choice remained John Cena.  Two of the most popular legends of all time and The Undertaker did everything in his power to get in shape for it.  Again, it shows the kind of man The Undertaker is, hitting the gym and fighting for redemption, for himself, the fans and Cena.

Speaking of those workout videos for The Undertaker, how about Primo being the guy chosen to get him ready?  Who saw that coming?  An old warehouse, Primo Colon and some really cool posters on the wall did the trick and he was ready for Cena at WrestleMania 34.  He wanted that clean slate, and he got it!

What is in store for Episode Three?  I’m not real sure, but I just know I cannot wait to watch!
