The Iron Claw: Five Major Mistakes in the Film

Tonight, I had the pleasure of watching, “The Iron Claw”, the Von Erich Family story.  It was excellent, and I cannot say enough good things about it, however, like so many other times when it comes to Hollywood and a movie, “Inspired by a true story”, you can count on a few major inaccuracies. This film was no different as the film had at least 5 major head scratchers.

So, before you read this, let me just clarify again, this is a good movie, and I WOULD recommend you see it, however, if you’re a diehard like myself, you will be sure to notice these three things pretty quickly.  The “Big Five” start on page two.

  1. Very good review. I noticed all 5 points you discussed. Give Iron Claw another 90 minutes and the makers could have effectively told the Chris and Lance stories. Other points were embellished to build an compelling narrative.
