Episode 3 was tonight, and it finally started getting a bit more dramatic. There were plenty of eyebrow raising moments, and we have reactions for all of them!
Action – Joan wins the solo date with an incredible poem at the talent show. When Gary said, “ I felt like I was the only one in the room”, I knew she had it! She crushed the date and everything was looking great for her. Then she woke up the next morning to a text from her daughter, and had to go home for family reasons. Gary was broken hearted, and we cannot blame him.
Reaction – Well shoot, that stinks! She seemed genuine and there for all the right reasons. Sometimes, I think these things are a bit produced however, what are the odds of her getting that text the next day? I don’t know, just saying, seems odd. It reminded me a bit of Michael from Akron on Katies season. Some things just seemed a bit, “produced”.
Action – Ellen gets the next solo date.
Reaction – What a beautiful backdrop as they sat outside and talked during the day. It looked absolutely incredible. Gary states how he can be himself around her, and genuinely appears to like her. He gives her a pair of earrings, as this is now the second straight date she gets a gift from him. He also kisses her and mentions how she can be the women he spends the rest of his life with.
Action – Kathy is a bit of trouble maker eh? Making comments about not being ready to go home and being more deserving than others. She then turns on the waterworks, and Gary crumbles and gives her a rose to stop the tears.
Reaction – Kathy is one step outside out of the grave and coming down swinging clearly. I’m not sure she is the best fit for Gary, but she makes a good villain for this show. April tried to simmer the waters, but it just led to more confusion. A pretty crummy way to get a sympathy rose. It almost screwed Theresa a rose, but in the end, all it did was set up the next big rivalry.
Oh well, let’s read a good book and get ready for Episode 4, oh, here is a good one!
