The Detroit Pistons have a promising future

Jalen Duren

Jalen Duren is a 6’11 rookie out of Memphis and was the 13th pick in the NBA Draft. Duren averaged 12 points per game, 8.1 rebounds per game and 1.3 assists per game at Memphis. Jalen Duren is exactly what the pistons need being as tall as he is. They do not have many tall players on their team, even the ones that play center such as Isaiah Stewart.

Isaiah Stewart is a good player, but is small to be playing the 4/5 position with him being 6’8, so it makes perfect sense for Duren to be apart of the Pistons with him being a 6’11 dominate center on the defensive side, he still has a lot of room to grow offensively shooting wise. He is phenomenal on the pick and roll and getting put back baskets when needed.

With all that being said, the Detroit Pistons have a great young team, who is already proving that they are a force to be reckoned with in the Summer League right now. There was a few bumps in the road but that is to happen when they are such a young team. This team is very talented and have a very promising future with all their second and third year players improving and brining on some rookies who are already playing at a high level.
