The Detroit Pistons have such a promising future and a young team and they are heading a step in the right direction in turning their franchise around. They have a full team of young players like Cade Cunningham (20), Jalen Duren (18), Killian Hayes (20), Isaiah Stewart (21), Saddiq Bey (23), Marvin Bagley III (23), Hamidou Diallo (23), Jaden Ivey (20) and even have a young Assistant Coach, Jordan Brink who is only 30 years old. Friday, July 8th the Pistons Summer League team was able to showcase what they are capable of.

The Detroit Pistons Summer League  team is basically their current roster that would play in the regular NBA season if it were to start today. The Pistons beat the Trailblazers 81-78 with great performances from Jaden Ivey, Isaiah Stewart, Saben Lee, Braxton Key and Jalen Duren.

Jaden Ivey finished the game with 20 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Isaiah Stewart: 13 points, 9 rebounds and went 3/4 from the three point line. Saben Lee finished with 13 points, 4 assists, 4 steals and 3 rebounds. Jalen Duren finished the game with 9 points and 2 blocks.

Just from looking at this one Summer League game from the Pistons, it is easy to see how bright their future is and to expect big things coming from them within the near future especially with their young star Cade Cunningham.

Cade Cunningham

Cade Cunningham has a bright future and has already made an impact on the game for the Pistons, finishing third in the Rookie of the year race and winning the Rising Stars MVP during all Star weekend. During Cade Cunningham’s first season he averaged 17.4 points per game, 5.5 rebounds per game and 5.6 assists per game, playing 32 minutes per game for 64 for games. Unfortunately Cunningham only played 64 games due to injuries and before the injuries he was at the top of the Rookie of the Year ladder but the fell to third by the end of the season.
