Euclid started the second quarter with the ball on their own 20-yard line, but just like their previous drives they were not able to do anything in three downs and once again was forced to punt the ball away. The Blue Devils went all out for the punt block and ended up sacking the punter at the Panthers’ 12-yard line. With 10 minutes left in the half, the Blue Devils used their running back Nichols for two plays to punch it into the endzone on a 6-yard run. Brunswick 21, Euclid 0.
The Panthers looking to do something before the end of the half, were able to get three first downs on this drive and extend it all the way to their own 47-yard line, before the Blue Devils intercepted a long pass at the 12-yard line with 4:50 left in the half.
Brunswick used almost 3 minutes to manufacture a balanced drive of short passes and inside runs to score on a 43-yard touchdown pass from Fritz to wide out Dominic Ferraro.
Brunswick 28, Euclid 0. With 1:19 left in the second quarter, Euclid gifted the ball back to Brunswick on an interception committed at the Blue Devils’ 43-yard line; Brunswick used this good fortune to move the ball up the field to the Panthers’ 1 yard line, but Euclid help their stance and denied Brunswick the score as the clock ran out on them to end the half.
