This is not a popular take and 99% of the people who read it will disagree, but I stand by my guns. Stop going for it on fourth down when you can kick a field goal. You cannot continue to give up sure points when you have an offense that is struggling to score.
I love Kevin Stefanksi and think he is the best coach we have had since Butch Davis, but this area of his game needs to change. The Browns are leaving far too many points on the board when they badly need them.
He had another fourth and short midway through the third quarter and trusted Parkey to kick a 45 yarder into the wind. That kick made Parkey 12 f 13 on the season at that moment in the game. He may not be the next Phil Dawson, but they need to continue to give the guy a chance and take the points! Later in the fourth quarter however, he did have a 47-yard field goal blocked, but that’s typically not the kickers fault. He would hit a 28 yarder later on to ice it at 22-10 and make him 13 of 15 on the season.
