Sweeping Changes Coming to AEW on the Heels of Collision Announcement

AEW CEO Tony Khan announced AEW Collision starts airing next month on TNT. It has led to a lot of excitement but also anticipation. This is only one of many changes coming to AEW over the next 30-60 days. Here now are a basic list of changes and big moves we can expect to see, not only on TV, but behind the scenes and also in the video game world.

Brand Split and TV Schedule

AEW is looking to have a firm brand split with half of the main roster on Dynamite and the other half will be on Collision. Rampage will now be taped before Dynamite instead of after but still air on Friday nights. The Rampage show is set to be a form of the WWE Sunday Night Heat Series from the late 90’s and early 00’s as an attempt to elevate younger talent not finding any airtime on the two main shows.

The First Episode of AEW Collision

The official announcement is coming this week, but the debut episode of the show will be from Chicago, CM Punk or no CM Punk. The rumor of Dailey’s Place is not legit.

The video game is finally coming!
The long awaited AEW Video Game Fight Forever will finally be on shelves by the time the fireworks are going off on the Fourth of July.

A switch to two man announce teams

In an effort to give each show it’s own feel and completely different look, each of the three shows will have their own two man announce teams.
Dynamite – Taz and Excalibur
Collision – Jim Ross and Tony Schiavone
Rampage – Chris Jericho & Renee Paquette
