SWC Week Four Power Rankings

#3 Ranked – Olmsted Falls Bulldogs (3-1)

The Bulldogs are that old fashioned smash mouth team with the natural grass & the blue-collar mentality. They are only minutes away from sitting here at 4-0 after a nail-biting loss to Avon.

A game in which they led several times, including being up with 91 seconds to go. Despite that heart-breaking week two loss, this team is loaded on the offensive side of the ball, and improving on defense as well.

Charlie Ciolek runs the Tom DeLuca triple option offense to perfection.  He can almost do no wrong when he decides to dish it out as a trio of Dawgs are just frothing at the mouth to take that bone to the house.  (see what I did there?)

All clichés aside, it’s true.  This trio of backs is one of the best, if not the best in division two when you combine them all together.  It doesn’t matter if it is the speedster Rocco Conti, the bulldozer Andrew Parkowski, or the agile Ryan Feskanich, the have a nose for the endzone.

They also boast one of the bigger legs in the SWC with Drew Kanaba.  There is no shortage of standout kickers in the SWC but Kanaba is certainly near the top. Kanaba showed that week one, kicking well in a pouring rain.

On defense, they have made some very big plays this season and if they can sure things up in the middle they can be lights out.  They are very quick and will cut off the edge, but they need to stand firm in the middle if they are going defeat Avon Lake in week Six.  If you look back to week two against Avon, they got burned over the middle a few times and it cost them.

Remaining Schedule – at home vs Amherst, at Avon Lake
