The National Premier Soccer League (NPSL), the first and only men’s league designated by USASA as a Tier 1 national league, is proud to announce that Sun City FC has joined the league.
“We are looking forward to having Sun City FC as part of the NPSL family,” NPSL Managing Director Cindy Spera said. “El Paso, Texas is an incredible soccer market, and Sun City FC is poised to make a positive impact in their community while growing the game in the region.”
The club will begin play in the 2026 season.
“There has never been a better time to invest in American soccer, and this ownership group has made the wise decision to get involved with the World Cup less than 250 days away,” Spera added.
The team is led by President Manuel Chavez.
Chavez has earned the Conmebol Gestión Deportiva and FMF D credentials. His team reached the quarterfinals of Sweden’s Gothia Cup in 2025. He is currently studying sports management at Oklahoma Wesleyan University with plans to attend Real Madrid Graduate School – Universidad Europea in the future.
“We expect to have a great fan base and to reach the playoffs in our first season,” Chavez said.
Home matches will be played at Julius & Irene Lowenberg Stadium on the campus of Canutillo High School in Canutillo, TX. The venue has a seating capacity of 12,000.
