The Strongsville Mustangs traveled to Euclid Friday night and won 42-0 in commanding fashion. They scored early and often as they had their way with the Panthers.
After a slow first quarter that saw the only points coming on a Mustang pick six, things picked up in the second. Miller got things cooking for the Mustangs at the 6:52 mark with a 15 yard touchdown. The game remained 14-0 Strongsville until the end of the first half when Sam Dimacchia capped things off with a 4-yard touchdown to give the Mustangs a 21-0 halftime lead.
The Mustangs began the second half on the prowl when Nolan Beard connected with Austin Miller for another touchdown strike, this one of 19 yards to put the game out of reach at 28-0. It was only moments later the Mustangs got the ball right back when the Panthers fumbled the kickoff. The chance was squandered however as Beard was picked off.
Shortly after that however, the Mustangs defense scored again on defense with a Jeric fumble recovery for a touchdown. With the clock running and the game out of reach, the Mustangs scored again on a Dari 15-yard touchdown to finish the scoring at 42-0.
Next week, Strongsville will be in the Kee On Sports game of the week as they host Cleveland Hts. Expect a full preview of that game later this week.
