Shaker Heights Defeats Shaw 38 to 6

The game started out a little slow but Shaker Heights started moving the ball down the field with
a variety of runs. With 10:00 left in the first quarter, Shaker Heights got their first touchdown with
a pass play from senior quarterback Adam Diaz to senior wideout Darnel Palmer.

A couple plays later Shaw was back up near the goal line. Next play Shaw quarterback got a sack in the endzone giving Shaker Heights a safety. To put the score 9 to 0.

With five minutes left in the first quarter, Shaker Heights marched down the field and scored again with the help of senior running back Jaylen Price. The score was 17 to 0 heading to the
second quarter.

Shaw finally caught a break with a big time run to the endzone. Making the score 17 to 6.

Shaker Heights senior running back Jaylen Price scored off a run
or pass option play that went for almost thirty yards.

At halftime the score was 24 to 6.

Not wasting any time in the third quarter, Shaker Heights recovered a kickoff at the forty-nine
yard line. A couple of plays later Shaker Heights senior running back Jaylen Price bust open a
big run to score. Adding to the score 31 to 6.

Heading to the fourth quarter Shaker Heights just wore down Shaw defense. Shaw could not score in the fourth quarter. With the game out of reach, Shaker Heights senior quarterback
Adam Diaz ran a thirty yard run play to the house.

Shaker Heights was too much for Shaw to handle this afternoon. The final score 38 to 6
