by The Soccer World got a little brighter today as some of the area’s top talent from the Internationals SC signed on the dotted line to play college soccer at some of the top soccer schools in America. The event was held at the Pinnacle Sports Complex in Medina.
I spoke with Club and ECNL Director Keri Sarver who had this to say about this years class and what makes them special, “It’s very unique considering the changes we had to make to get to where we are. Meaning with the pandemic, getting back to full swing and provide a safe environment for our players. We wanted them to stay safe and strong, but also receive the full recruitment process. It was a testament to all of us in the soccer community to make sure these kids were still seen and had a chance to reach their dream of signing for a college at the next level.”

The Internationals Soccer Club was established in 1976 as an outlet for players who had graduated from college with a desire to continue to play competitively. Soon to follow was the Internationals women’s program which competed at the national level within two years.
