Samoa Joe To Become New NXT General Manager

Fans who expected Samoa Joe to show up in AEW with Team Taz, or back in Impact by Slammivesary, will be thrown a curveball as early as this week.

Sources close to KOS have confirmed that HHH is in talks to name Joe the new GM of their NXT brand once William Regal officially steps down tonight.

The seeds were planted during the NXT In Your House PPV Sunday night as Regal routinely lost control.  By the end of the night, he left dejected and appeared to have quit the role he has had for 7 years.

Samoa Joe had a stellar career in TNA for the majority of the mid to late 2000’s and 2010’s.  He came into NXT as a huge name back in 2015 where he won the World title twice.

After being called up to the main roster in 2017, his career stalled at times because of injury and other issues.  He did manage to win the United States Championship before a rash of concussions placed him on the RAW announce team before being released in April 2021.

This appears how HHH will be bring him back into the company as rumors ran wild that he was not pleased when Joe was released in the first place.
