Saint Joe’s Academy In Search of New Head Basketball Coach

Saint Joe’s Academy head basketball coach Greg Zhelesnik has stepped down.  He joined the team in May of 2024, and led his squad to the District Championship game this past season.  Coach Z had taken over for Karen Swanson-Haan at the time of his arrival.  We wish him the best of luck!

Please see the release the school put out earlier today via twitter.

  1. This is as sad day for St. Joes , happy for Coach Z and his wife landing a new job. I hope with the search for the new coach that they get an experienced guy or gal because these girls deserve that. It’s hard enough finding coaches today. I pray we search hard and get the best candidate for our school and the future of Joe’s basketball. We need someone that can develop talent and go to the parochial schools and run clinics get to know the kids in those buildings. Get back to the old school way. Not worry about what parents think or outsiders and do what’s best for the kids . Not egos. Remember this there experience not ours . Let them enjoy it !
