There were many top performers in Week One of the Ohio High School Football season worthy of this award, but our editors agreed on Cody Coontz as this week’s winner.

Coontz led the Rootstown Rovers to a 33-0 over Crestwood on opening night.  Coontz couldn’t be stopped as he tallied up 318 yards with 4 touchdowns.  A whopping 273 of those yards coming by halftime as he set the tone for the night, and the season, early and often!

Congratulations to Cody Coontz for being this weeks, Jenny’s Old Fashioned Popcorn Player of the Week!
