It was a well-balanced attack for Revere as they traveled to Avon Lake and came away with a 41-34 victory.  They used a three headed scoring attack of Adison Novosel, Audrey Livesay and Ava Schiesswhol.  The Senior Novosel had 13 while Livesay 11 and Schiesswhol had 7 as they accounted for 31 of their teams 41 points.

The Shoregals fought hard as they are known to do but came up just short.  Leading the Shoregals on both sides of the ball was Emma Knick with 14 points.  Hailey Hodge looked sharp with 7 while Kiley Boutin remains strong with 7 herself in the contest.

A very physical first quarter saw the officials allow it to play out.  Both teams took advantage with tough defense down low.  Revere was able to score from the outside however as 6 of their 10 in the first, came from beyond the arc courtesy of Adison Novosel.  The other four coming from Mallory Thompkins and Jeanne Hujer.

Emma Knick looked great in the first quarter, weaving in and out of traffic and finding the open teammate.  She played great defense as well, swarming to the ball.  Her teammates did as well as it is clear the difference Kiley Boutin continues to have on this team.  They hit 3 of 3 from the charity stripe as part of their 7 points in the quarter.

Already up 10-7 to start the second, Revere began the quarter on an 8-2 run, courtesy of six straight points from Audrey Livesay to extend their lead to 18-9.  For Livesay it was part of a big second quarter that saw her score 8 total points.

Avon Lake would stop the run with two foul shots from Emma Knick. After another Livesay bucket, it was Knick nailing a three ball and cutting into the lead.  Kiley Boutin would follow with two made foul shots of her own.   Shortly after it was Hailey Hodge sinking two more free throws to cut into the Revere lead.  Not much longer after that it was Boutin again draining two from the foul line to tie the game at 20.

It was excellent foul shooting by Avon Lake that kept them in this game.  11 of their first 20 points in he first half came from the foul line.  They went 11 for 11 from the line in that stretch. The teams would exchange buckets from their and the half ended tied at 22 apiece.  Leading all first half scorers was Emma Knick with 12 while Livesay of Revere finished the half with 8.

Both teams came out extremely cold in the second half.  Avon Lake didn’t score their first bucket until only 2:08 remained in the third quarter when Hodge hit a jumper.  Revere didn’t score until 1:34 remained in the quarter when Novosel hit two foul shots. The quarter would only see 7 total points as Avon Lake took a 26-25 lead into the fourth.

Down 28-27 early into the fourth, Revere went on a 9-2 run to take a commanding 36-30 lead with only 2:48 to go in the game.  The Shoregal comeback attempt would fall short as Revere earned the 41-34 victory on the road. For Revere, it was a 16-point fourth quarter to follow their 3 point third.  A great bounce back quarter to seal the victory for Revere.
