Remembering WCW Halloween Havoc

1998

Despite a botched Hulk Hogan vs The Ultimate Warrior rematch that will go down as one of the worst matches in the modern era, the rest of the card was rock solid.  People who crucify this show calling it one of the worst ever because of one match, are being totally unreasonable.

Several matches were excellent, including Raven versus Chris Jericho.  Even Disco Inferno taking on Juventud Guerra was surprisingly well done.  The breakup match featuring Scott Hall and Kevin Knash combined drama with excellent story telling as well.  The main event as Goldberg defended his belt and streak against DDP was perfectly done and easily the best match of Goldberg’s entire career.  A solid card worth watching again and again despite the bomb with Hogan and Warrior.
