One of the hottest summer angles in WWE history culminated at Summerslam with the Nexus headlining the biggest party of the Summer against 7 of the very best in the WWE.
The Nexus was formed on RAW as a group of renegades from NXT Season One who were looking to make an immediate impact and did so by attacking John Cena on RAW. The attack was so brutal it actually led to the real life firing of Daniel Bryan for choking out ringside announcer Justin Roberts with his neck tie.
Eventually the Nexus would run through the entire roster in a winner take all match at Summerslam.
The Nexus consisted of

The WWE team was loaded with current and future Hall of Famers in a who’s who of WWE History!
Bret Hart Edge Chris Jericho R-Truth John Morrison Daniel Bryan ( he was re-hired and joined team WWE) John Cena ( team captain)
In a thrilling main event that saw the action go both ways all night, it was Team WWE that pulled it off in the end with an incredible showing from Cena and Bryan to bring Team WWE the win!
