Ranking The 10 Greatest Baseball Movies Of All Time

  1. Field of dreams (1989)- “If you build it, he will come.” More of a 1B than a number 2 for me honestly, but none the less, field of dreams truly hits you to the core. The nostalgia that this movie will bring to you for the true love of baseball that these characters show in this film, lead by of course Kevin Costner, is second to none. Every character has been touched by baseball and has not always worked out but one thing that doesn’t change for them is the beauty of the game and the times and memories of playing the game. I’ve shed more than a tear or two at the end when Costner asks his father if he’d like to “have a catch”. No sport sums up a middle American boys childhood and the bonding that can be had between a father and son the way baseball does, and this film perfectly depicts it.
