Ranking The 10 Greatest Baseball Movies Of All Time

“It’s hard not to get romantic about baseball.” – Brad Pitt as Billy Beane in 2011’s best picture nominee MoneyBall. I couldn’t agree more. I love baseball and I love movies, so naturally I love baseball movies. So in honor of the Indians home opener, These are my top 10 baseball movies of all time.

  1. 61* (2001)- Billy Crystal directs this HBO movie about the true hard times of the original home run race between crowd favorite Mickey Mantle and outsider and teammate of Mantle, Roger Maris. Seeing what Maris has to go through during this is truly amazing and honestly just down right sad. No spoilers, but you should check it out if you haven’t seen it for Barry Peppers portrayal of Maris alone !
