This was a largely forgotten title reign in AEW history as this was a dark time for the company. Ticket sales down, backstage drama and more people wondering when MJF would return, rather then taking Joe as a serious threat. He just didn’t fit the “mold” as champion, and it was only a matter of time before TK realized that.
