WM III – WrestleMania III is forever known for two huge matches. The instant classic between Macho Man Randy Savage and Ricky The Dragon Steamboat. As well as the main event between Hulk Hogan and Andre the Giant.
Both great matches with plenty of high spots in them. However, the night was loaded all the way around with the greatest names in the glory years of the WWF.
93,000 fans were treated to the first of several Roddy Rowdy Piper retirement matches. This particular one featured the birth of Brutus the Barber Beefcake as he shaved the head of The Adorable Adrian Adonis.
The night saw a solid six man tag featuring The Hart Foundation tagging with Danny Davis to take on The British Bulldogs and Tito Santana.
Who can forget Alice Cooper draping Jake Roberts snake all over the poor mouth of the south Jimmy Hart? An excellent night that you can sit back and watch over and over again.
WM 22 – This heated night in Chicago brought countless long-lasting memories for wrestling fans. Edge putting Mick Foley through a flaming table is just one of many. Mickie James tearing down the house with Trish to upset her for the title.
John Cena coming out in a gangster outfit only to put on a five-star classic against HHH to close the show.
Even Shawn Michaels put on an entertaining match against Mr. Vince McMahon, which is only another huge testament to the talent of Michaels. This was also the night in which the “feel good story” Rey Mysterio came up big for the World Title. A fantastic show! This was also the last one that wasn’t in front of a Dome or Stadium crowd. It didn’t need it, it was that good!
WM VIII – This Hoosier Dome show often gets overlooked by wrestling “purists”, but if you go back and watch, you will see just how good this was.
This loaded card has 20 WWE Hall of Famers along with The Undertaker who will be one. It featured excellent matches with Bret Hart vs Roddy Piper, The Undertaker vs Jake The Snake Roberts and Tito Santana vs Shawn Michaels.
The best match of the night was Ric Flair losing his WWF World Championship to Randy Macho Man Savage. The night ended with a shocker as The Ultimate Warrior returned to save Hulk Hogan from a Sid and Papa Shango beatdown.
